Portland Jobs with Justice committees engage in specific and urgent issues affecting working people. The work ranges from spearheading campaigns to planning effective actions all while visioning into the broader Jobs with Justice mission.
Working Committees, affirmed by Steering Committee, may arise in advancement of JwJ vision and goals. Committees may be led by one Chair or two Co-Chairs. Any member may serve as a Chair of a Committee, except paid staff. Each committee has one vote at JwJ’s Governing Body, Steering Committee. An Executive Board member can also be a chair of a working committee but counts as one vote at Executive Board and Steering Committee, not two votes.
