Many Ways to Celebrate May Day 2024: A Roundup

May Day – International Workers Day – Events:

From PCUN: In the face of ongoing efforts by some factions to undermine the rights and contributions of immigrant communities, we must stand in solidarity with farmworkers who form the backbone of our agricultural sector.

A crucial aspect of recognizing their invaluable contribution is establishing a clear pathway to citizenship. This step would honor the dignity of their work and strengthen our agricultural economy by providing these essential workers with the stability and security they deserve.

Immigration reform is not just an investment in individual lives but a vital step towards ensuring the resilience and sustainability of our agricultural sector for generations to come.

We invite you to join our movement on Wednesday, May 1st, at noon, in front of the Oregon State Capitol to send a message to our federal representatives!

We will gather at the Oregon State Capitol in Salem for a day of impactful community speeches, vital resource booths, and a mighty march around the Capitol Block. Special performance by Gabino Palomares Gómez! RSVP here!
